December 20, 2012 at 10:42 pmAh! This script will only Split the Video or the Audio portion of the “Event”. While Selecting an Event and hitting Split will Split both Audio and Video. If you want to just Split Audio or Video I need to UnGroup first! John’s script doesn’t require the extra Keystroke.
Clever.
Thanks John, it is working now.

Glad it’s working for you. Yes, this eliminates the need to ungroup just splitting first event that you have selected.

December 21, 2012 at 12:13 amIt takes less prep work/effort (as Graham pointed out),
to hit the script icon of the script John had written, than
hitting the “s” key Stephen. Try it… Thats why i requested it.Steve Rhoden

December 21, 2012 at 1:30 amI want to “chime in” on this SPLIT issue. Steve, I want to thank you (and also John Rofrano) for bring this script to light.
What a terrific shortcut. Yes, it DOES save us from clicking an extra icon to do a task. Sometimes I forget to “unclick” the “ignore” button and that itself creates more work in correcting the issue. So, YES, this script is invaluable to all of us.
Thanks again guys!
And, Merry Christmas to all of you

December 21, 2012 at 9:58 amYes Mike, you simply use Customize Toolbar to place any script
as an icon on your tool bar. You can further assign an icon of
your choice to it, by creating a 16 x 16 (pixel) PNG picture in
photoshop, give it the exact same name as the script and simply
drop it in the same Sony script folder, and you are done.Steve Rhoden
