“Hey, is this you?” virus
Hi guys
Hardly on topic, but as i post here a lot i thought i should warn you. If you have an instant messenger open and someone you know sends you a link with your name on it and says “Hey, is this you?”, don’t do want i did and click on the link.
It’s a nasty little worm called Bropia and does some unpleasent things, including instantly sending itself around to everyone in your address book who is logged in. And disabling some anti-virus tools.
A program called FXBropia can remove all traces of the worm, and if you can’t find it on the net, i’ll email it to you.
And one day, someone’s going to catch up with those spotty, girlfriend-less teenagers who are making these things and do rather nasty things to them. And Sky will have the viewing rights. 🙂
