Heroglyph V4
Posted by Rich Kutnick on February 27, 2014 at 1:24 pmIs anyone using or familiar with Prodad’s Heroglyph V4? I already own New Blue Titler Pro 1&2, so if Heroglyph V4 is just another titler with nothing else to offer other than what I already have, I would like to know. I am aware that Heroglyph V4 offers some additional functions, but is it really worth it? Your thoughts and experiences?

February 27, 2014 at 3:14 pmI use it. It’s pretty nice but limited. I like the feature that lets me take a photo and lets it fly apart. Nice for openers.
The feature that does the handwriting is limited and not that great a font for it.
It has a good selection of “lower thirds”
Here’s an example of a video I did using it.

its loaded with tons of other features, but may take some time
to get familiar with.Steve Rhoden

February 28, 2014 at 3:49 pmHi, Steve. Thanks for jumping in!
1) Stating that it is worth it, are you referring to the FULL Heroglyth V4, or the LE version that is on sale for $99?
2) Do you personally have this in your arsenal? Do you use it? Would you say it pays for itself quickly? Would purchasing this in any way be a duplication of what New Blue Titler Pro 2 does for me?
3) Kudos to Roger’s talent! Differing opinions here between Roger and you, but that’s okay. I just want to look before I leap!
Your answers, Steve, will help me to make a rational decision. This $50 off sale is going on until the end of March, so I have some time to mull it over. Right now I have issues with Mercalli V2 when used in SVP 12, so I will wait until Prodad Tech Support figures it out before I spend another dime with them! If anyone may be interested in that anomaly, jump in here and I will start a separate thread.
Thanks in advance.
