  • Help? – Advice on AE compression for Film “Title design” output

    Hi,

    I have a question that seemingly has been hard to find a direct answer on in my web searches.

    I am designing a “title seqence” for film and DVD in After Effects to be sent to the movie house on approval.

    Now I’ve tried a few different compression schemes in AE and am not sure which one is the “standard” for sending out such an item

    The piece is 4 minutes long, and of course the cleanest result is “uncompressed.”
    though at 4 minutes it is too big to fit on a standard data DVD (4.7) to send out

    So I wanted advice on settings and recommendation on the best way to compress and not lose quality.
    or the industry standard

    also if possible with details on settings:
    Example:

    Compression: Microsoft Video- setting
    4:15 minutes = 2.55 GB
    720×480 / audio on
    spacial = 100
    KeyFrame = 30 29.9 fps
    Data rate turned off

    Ps. So far my choice has been the above mentioned, but I think there are better options.

    any advice is much appreciated!!

    I use to apply a quicktime “animation” codec with 100%.
    On 100%, it’s a compression / lossless codec.
