    why is my final cut pro 5(all the updates applied, has been that way for a , when i try an export a full quicktime of my movie (4 hour long sequence, i’ve done it before) it tells me there is a file size error??? it happened when i tried to cut the file up into smaller pieces as well.

    need to render out a piece before the end of the day today…grr

    It may be a storage problem–not enough room. What drive is your QuickTime being render to? Is there enough room there for it?

    i iwas trying to render it to a raid….trying a different drive now.

    make sure you are exporting to an HFS+ drive

    yeah, i still don’t really know what the culprit was.

    i trashed prefs, updated the OS and QT, etc. and i exported to a local drive, before sending to the raid/server and it’s all good.
