Help with workflow for 720p 60fps h.264 source
Just got one of the exciting Contour 1080p action cams – exciting that these are finally cheap enough to fly without being overcome with nerves in my RC helis (ok, I admit I was shaking like a mexican jumping bean during my first flights today).
Any suggestions for a decent editing workflow are appreciated (I am more interested in editing workflows – as I can muck around with lots of different export settings – but Im just not familiar enough with what FCP likes for editing).

Camera encodes files using h.264Editing Machine:

HD internet video (youtube, vimeo, etc..)Note: Interestingly, the native 60fps .mov files generated by the camera cannot be directly imported into FCP (7) – but all of the 30fps files can. I assume FCP doesn’t like 60fps video?

H.264 is not an edit codec. It should be converted to one like ProRes. You can do that with Compresor. If you search there are many posts on the subject.
