help with text indenting on 2nd line
HI all, I am using an old text layer but I have removed all expressions and I can’t figure out why my text is indenting on the 2nd line only.
I actually want this to happen, but I cannot see any parameters to adjust to change the spacing.
I know I did this on purpose at some point but I thought it was with an expression. I have included the project below. If someone could figure out why this happening that would be great. And also how to edit it.
Secondly, if there was a third line of text, would there be a way to continue this indent progressively, as if you were aligning the text along a diagonal guide.

It looks like it might have something to do with kerning. If you highlight the first line, the kerning selection in the Paragraph panel is blank. If you highlight the second line, you get a dimmed out “Metrics”. If you just select the layer (no highlighted text) and select Metrics or Optics, all lines get the same indent. This is not my area of expertise, just an observation–I hope it is of some use to you…

but if we double click the layer and retype, we get the same spacing, which is great. I just need a way to change that value, it will be helpful in a multiline template I need to create where the text is always aligned on a diagonal

oh yes, it is metrics, i see i set it to a value to have that first line reverse indent. thanks so much Dan, if you didnt say metrics, i never would have figured it out.
