  • Help with Screen Text Plugin

I am trying to make a digital bathroom scale appear to change weights. I am trying to use Digital Anarchy’s Screen text plug in. I have a text document with random weights. The problem is I don’t want to have the text scroll up I just want it to flash of and the new one come on. When I put the Scroll speed to zero the numbers move to fast to see. Can anyone help or give other ideas.
    Thanks in advance.

Set the Display Speed to 1.0

Set Frequency of Overwrite to 15.0

Display speed will cause one character to be drawn on the screen every frame. You could also set it to say, 7 characters and have entire words or numbers appear instead of individual characters.

Frequency of Overwrite tells Screen Text how often you want to overwrite the current line. If there’s no scroll speed, this will give you the effect you want. If you set it to 15, then every 15 frames it will read a new line from your text file. If you want lines replaced faster, set it to a lower number.

    Hope that helps,
    Jim
