Help with Promo
Looking for some tips on how to re-create this promo, as far as the background (that seems to wrap around) and the cloudy floor. I talked the client out of a DVD case opening (since I don’t have a 3D app).

From the looks of it this was done in a 3D app, note the reflection on the floor which animates seamlessly as the DVD opens. The cloudy floor could be done in After Effects using Fractal Noise, the wrap around background could be done using the script for a Skydome from aescripts. https://aescripts.com/skydome/
Though it could also be faked using simple curved shapes in the background. There also appear to be some clouds or fog which can be done using a particle system, even CC Particle World if you don’t have Particular.
The reflection can be done using VC Reflect, free from VideoCopilot https://www.videocopilot.net/presets/reflection_plug-in/

looks like a lot of fractal clouds to me. The floor could be a circular 3D plane with fractal clouds applied.
The back wall could use CC cylinder:
•new layer,
•apply fractal noise,
•apply CC cylinder,
•set ‘render’ to ‘inside’,
•adjust z position so it fills the screen
•keyframe the y rotation.That should get you close to the look. tweak it from there. hope that helped.
