Hey guys I read a post by David LaRonde to which a guy asked about rendering MPEG2 1920 x 1080 HD and getting an error. He suggested to render out uncompressed and then use another program other than After Effects to compress it, Firstly On the render options can you tell me the exact name of the compression or in this case non-compression type. Also what program should I use to convert the Uncompressed video of compressed MPEG2 HD 1920 x 1080? Would Premiere work or would you suggest something else. Thanks in advance?

The output module preset you want is “Lossless.” This will give you a QuickTime movie with the Animation codec.

As far as compressing to MPEG-2, you can try the included Adobe Media Encoder if you have CS4. Otherwise Compressor works okay on a Mac, or Episode from Telestream on Mac or Windows ($495). It will all depend on your budget and requirements for delivery.

    Adobe CS3, Apple FCS2
