  help with Memory and Cache

  hi,

  Iam new to AE and trying to get to know it. I have a problem:

  when Iam using a 15 second clip with some titles and animation then when I do the RAM preview it, it runs at 6-7 fps (really slow). I have a AMD Athlon 3500+ and 1 GB of memory. I am using one hard drive for software and another for storage of clips. When checked the memory & cache

  Maximum memory usage: 120 %
  Maximum memory cache size: 60 %

  Do I have to use the “enable disk cache”? if I have to, where should I put the folder (in Storage drive or the drive with the OS) and how much MB should put. I will be thankful if the setting are also given.

  I will be very thankful if someone can help me b/c a small project is due in the next two weeks.

  Finally, not really a import question, how to make the rendering fast (if possible)
