  • help with making 1080 render to 480

Posted by Jason Leue on October 8, 2008 at 2:19 am

i have video finished in fcp 6.

    1080 24p proRes hq

I’d like to render it out to 640×480. So I made a new sequence with the settings

    frame size 640×480 ntsc 4:3
    pixel aspect ratio HD 1440×1080

    I tried also

    pixel aspect ratio ntsc

    but no good

should I render it out first as 1440×1080 and then convert in quicktime to 1920×1080 then bring it back into the 640×480 sequence?

    thanks
    Jason

Are you looking for a widescreen SD version of your project or a full screen 4:3 version?

If you’re trying to make it letterboxed, the pixel aspect should be square.

    All the best,
