  • Help with Lag in Video and Audio Sync

Now i have a big problem…I have been racking my brain at this, and i dont know why this happens….

But first i import my video and audio, then i put them in the correct areas, play it to see the preview, all is fine in the beginning but once it starts getting towards the end the sound is unmatched like a 10th or so seconds behind Very slight but noticable, How can i fix this?

And When i Render the video file, and i go to play it back on lets say Quicktime or Windows media, There is a serious lag in playback, it seems to be all frame by frame as if it were like a slideshow, is there anything i can do to fix this?

    Thank you…

What format is your source video? Video captured (DV) in Pro via firewire? or some compressed file like Mpeg?

Well when i import the Video it is the Format of .MOV
Then when i edit it, and then render it/save it the video becomes all choppy, and lags terribly…. Not to mention before i save it, the Audio track messes up at the end in synchronization….Can you please help me with this?

Quicktime has dozens of codecs used to compress video. Digging into the properties of the files will ID the codec, but wont help if it is not condusive to ediitng. Editing already compressed files is often dicey. Premiere is designed to edit Digital Video files.
