  • help with HDV 720P 25P on Final Cut Pro 5.0.1

    Hi,

Need advice on capturing footage shot on a JVC HD camera at HDV 720P 25P with Final Cut Pro 5.0.1 on an Imac 2GHz Intel Core duo with 1GB 667 MHz RAM, OSX 10.4.1

The project will be captured from a JVC BR-HD50 deck through firewire 400 and stored on a G-Tech G-Raid 2.

In the capture presets all I can see is 720P 30. Can I manually change the setting to 25 frames?.

What advice on the settings can anyone give to help prevent any problems before I capture and also when editing with HDV?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Greg,
I’m not much sure if FC 5.0.4 supports HDV. I think that FC started supporting HDV with FC 5.1

720p25 was not supported until FCP 5.1.2.
