    The grids at the very beginning don’t look complicated at all. Basic grids themselves are very easy to generate in After Effects. Use the Grid effect. 😉 Apply to a solid layer, then rotate and move them in 3D space. If you need to customize your grid beyond what AE can do, create it in Photoshop or Illustrator, then import it in.

    You can create the flickering grid boxes that are at the 18 second mark using Fractal Noise. Watch this tutorial for that effect.

    The landscapes are likely a combination of real footage and 3D modeling.
