Help with DV device control
Posted by Doug on May 4, 2005 at 8:28 pmI’ve been using FCP for a few weeks now and unplugged my deck and then replugged it in and now I can conrol the deck in FCP but not capture. It says under Capture Presets Warning: Video Device DV Video Missing

May 4, 2005 at 9:02 pmBe sure to reload your easy setup. Also check the firewire port in the system profiler. Select About this Computer from the Apple menu, press the button for more information. When the profiler loads, select the firewire port in the left-hand column. You should see your dv device there. If not restart and check again.

May 4, 2005 at 9:18 pmI see me device there, I can control it in FCP(play FFW RWD ect.) but when I go to capture it says: no device selected? It also says VTR OK and I get time code. when I do easy Set-up I get “Unable to locate external devicesApple FireWire NTSC (720 X 480)
