    Hi,

I work for a guy named Dave Rosen at Absolute Post in Burbank California and he wants me to put up an AD on craigslist about these new Nitrus AVIDs he bought. The only problem is I went to film school, but not for editing. I need help. What should I tell people about this system? Why would they use AVID instead of Final Cut or another type of editing program. Can anybody give me a couple of ideas on what to write about? He wants more than just the stats of the system. I’m supposed to give real world info about using AVID Nitrus. Please help. Important for my job.

    Thanks,
    Vanessa

Here’s a couple of my favorite thing about avid …
It does all the hard work for you and keeps all the media in one easy place.
I can use multiple video formats on the same time-line and it renders on the fly.
The workflow for an episodic series, offline and online editing has been used and tested over the years and works great!

If someone is looking for a nitrous system, you won’t have to try to sell them on it, they will know what they’re getting and just buy it.

Various customer stories here, from music videos to feature length films.

Know what you’re selling… Media composer Nitris

    or Symphony Nitris

I’m actually a little interested. We have 2 nitrous systems, 2 adrenalines and 5 Mojos.
I would love to know what you guys are selling. specific Computer models/software/dongle/nitrous setup.

    Thanks

Actually, I think he wants to rent them out… I have a spec sheet It’s Nitris DX and it includes a Nitris DX system Identifier, media composer software and dongle along with the Nitris hardware. Avid Unity Media Network v5. x Media Engine or avid unity media network 16 port fibre channel 8tb media engine 8. I’m not sure if this will help. I pulled it all off of our packing slip. We have it for Mac I think as well as PC. Anyway thank you so much for your help. You’re the only one to give me an idea of why AVID is great. I’m not an editor so I don’t know the practical side of these programs. Once again thank you so much.

Anyone looking to rent a Symphony Nitris DX will know what it is and doesn’t need to be “sold” on it. Just list the system specs and maybe grab a blurb from the avid website.
