help with audio into premeiere
oK first off i have premiere cs4– and a canon xl-1s– capturing via firewire– recorded audio onto left (2nd) audio channel–and when put headsets on from cam can hear it fine–see it in meter of camera and it hitting range for audio on meter– but trying to capture and it doesn’t show up on premiere– and on computers speakers can barely hear it– tried to check settings but not alot when inputting via firewire–
is there something i am missing? help please as the audio is on tape just can’t get it into computer -

thank you for your help– actually after finding the right way to search i found the earlier post to someone else about same problem and have downloaded the free copy of software –still seems like adobe would step up to be able to allow channel 3 and 4 to be gotten on premiere– as there are a few canon cameras out there
so once again thank you for taking the time to help a newbie who didn’t know how to correctly search for what he needed– lol-me -
