Thanks in advance for the help. I am working on a project for a non-profit group. I have black and white footage, and want to isolate one object and keep that in color. how do I do that? Thanks for the help.

Sorry Dave. Incomplete info. I have color footage, that I am making B/W. I want to give stark contrast between the surroundings and the one item to be left in color… almost like a rotoscope, I Guess. My footage is from Uganda, Africa.. and I want to show the yellow cans the people carry around to get water from water wells. Everything would be B/w except the water cans. Thanks

Dave: I am running AE CS 3.. do all of your instructions apply? I don’t find a ‘keep color’ in the effects pulldown, so I am just using “tint’. Cool?
