    Hi guys,
I’m trying to understand what is the best codec to use in FCP and how much quality I will lose if I edit DVCPro50/100 material with a DVCPro codec as opposed to say, using uncompressed or ProRes codec?

I assume since I’m editing with DVCPro material, I would lose very little by staying at the same DVCProcodec. I am trying to understand if I’m better off editing uncompressed vs ProRes vs native DVCPro when comparing end quality vs drivespace.

I’ve only ever worked with SDI uncompressed material in the past so choice of codecs in FCP is new to me.

    Regards,
    Steve
