    But you wouldn’t think that would be in issue just trying to open FCP and it coming up with the error message that I have no video device connected. Maybe it does. It is very frustrating. Can I even go backwards with Quicktime and get an older version? My Pro key won’t work if I do. UUUHHHGGGG. Randy

    Have you used a FW device with this setup before?

    Did you just upgrade to Tiger?

    have you tried this?

    Have you tried refresh A/V devices (option-12) and then trying to turn on external video?

    By the way, if you reinstall 6.5, your pro key is all good as you have it with FCP 4.5. Really, you should upgrade to FCP5.
