  • HELP! Saving clips in media bin

    Hi

I have been using Window’s Movie Maker to make some fan/fic music videos. I have recently bought the Sony Vegas 8, and it’s a bit overwhelming. A lot more difficult than WMM.

In WMM, I could split media frames and save the frames I wanted to a “collections” folder on the left, simply by dragging and dropping the frame I wanted to save. I’m not seeing where I can do that with Vegas. I figured out how to split a whole media file and delete the footage that I would not be using, but there’s no way to save that specific frame for a future project.

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

    Thanks!

You can save one frame by setting the video preview to full and clicking on the little floppy icon in the corner of the preview window. You can also zoom in and split to a single frame which I read somewhere the quality is better that way. Danny Hays

Thanks…the zooming helped, but it only allows me to save the file on my hard drive, not in Vegas, itself like WMM does.

The other methos of saving a still using the ‘floppy’ icon aotomatically places the still (frame) in the Vegas project.
