    I going to work with dpx sequences for the first time. But along with the footage I got a readme that said I had to use the CINEON CONVERTER, and that

    Never used it personally but they are log color space, yes? And needs to be converted to linear color space. Just guessing.

    HI the cineon converter allows you to view an approximation of what the DPX files will look like when viewed on the big screen. DPX files contain 1024 levels of gray per channel where black is 95 and white is 685. Everything above 685 clips at white unless you are working in 32 bit.
