  • HELP – QT stuttering on interlaced video playback.

    Hi all,

I’m having problems with Quicktime playback of Interlaced video.

For testing purposes, I’m playing back a PAL 20 second h.264 clip on a secondary display attached to my MacBookPro with the Apple DVI-S-Video adaptor (set to 720×576 PAL).

When I play the clip, it stutters/flickers (almost like the fields are inverted).. If I pause then play the movie repeatedly the problem seems to rectify itself for a few minutes, then it happens again, until I pause/play again.

I have tried different codecs and different players, but all with the same problem. It even happens when I “present movie” in quicktime. Has anyone experienced this problem? (and hopefully found a fix). I need to solve this ASAP since the clips need to loop for an unattended tradeshow setup.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
