Hey! I’m making a tutorial video for a website. i’ve never done this before and it’s not exactly working out for me. I’m using Snapz Pro X and what i’m doing is recording it then importing the quicktime file into final cut. But when i import it the video comes out very blurry and ugly. is there a way to get nice clean video into final cut? i’m importing it so i can add an audio track, is there another way to add an audio track? I’ve see a lot of recommendations for I Show U but i’m using a power pc so I can’t use the lastest version. what should I do? thanks a lot for any help!

I would suggest using a second mac with the software on you are making the tutorial for and send the signal through a Folsom converter to a mac pro with FCP on it and import using log and capture in FCP.

If that’s not an option then you could try https://www.unixuser.org/~euske/vnc2swf/

Is there an older version of iShowU still available? Did you write to the folks on that website and ask if they still have it around? I would. I used to use SnapZ Pro and had way too many issues with the file playback in FCP. The folks at Apple ProApps actually told me they use iShowU for all their videos because it works so well, and it does.
