  • HELP !! – Open 7.0 projects in 6.5 ?

Posted by Andy Stokes on January 12, 2007 at 5:45 am

    Hi all,

I have just delivered a bunch of simple AE setups to my client for them to re-version in their edit suites on a daily basis. Only problem is, I’ve created everything in 7.0 and their suites have 6.5. I suggested they upgrade, but they have 15+ suites that’ll need to be upgraded, so for now not likely to happen.

I have to now somehow get these translated back to 6.5… Any tools out there to help? Export to XML or something? Any thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Andy

Noooohooooo. Simply not possible. Never has been and most likely never will be. Simply tell them to upgrade. 200 bucks per suite really isn’t that much (if they have 15 suites, they are not exactly a “small shop” and should have the money).

Or you could just tell them to download the 7.0 trial version, then they’ve got it for 30days to do your project…meantime they can save up that $200! 😉
