    How to open BPAV folders?

I Have a lot of footage in BPAV but cannot find the software for browsing and editing.

Earlier I had Content Browser but now there seems to be Catalyst Browser, Editing and Prepare.

Seems that it costs money too.

    Has Sony trashed free software?

    I use FCPX for editing.

Suggestions for editing my old XDCAM files?

I have a version in dropbox you are welcome to try. It’s a zip file.

Davinci Resolve can read and edit those files. The free version is all you need.

Answers given will work but if you have XDCAM footage, I would seriously recommend spending the 20 bucks USD and get Sony’s Content Browser 2.0. Make sure you save a copy of the installer for later. It is a straight forward and application agnostic. Best of all it works flawlessly and does proper checksumming as it is saving out and translating the code to disk.

Thank goodness it still appears to be available.
