Hey, I am running Final Cut Pro 6.0.6 and I have been trying for sometime now to apply the smoothcam filter but I can never get it to work properly. I have applied it to many different clips and it smooths out the footage but it always comes out jittery. I have played with all the settings but it does not make a difference to the jitter. I have watched a bunch of tutorials on the internet on how to use it and none of these videos bring up this problem.

these jitters are in the original footage and it looks like the filter is just making them more pronounced.

Looks like a framerate/pulldown removal issue to me.

Me too. It looks like you have the wrong frame rate set in your timeline.

Yar, I’m with the other guys, looks like a field issue to me; might help to know what your original footage source is.

Thanks guys you were right, I accidentally had the sequence set to 25 FPS rather than 29.97. It looks good now.
