  • Help needed with PPRO and Matrox RTX100

    Hi,

I am having a nightmate with my PPRO and Matrox System. I am currently running PPRO 1.0 and the matrox drivers for this version.

    Two things happen frequently.

    1) When working in the timeline, the matrox output to my broadcast monitor always seems to lock out as if the framebuffer gets clogged. The only way to reset the Matrox RTX 100 is to restart the system.

    2) I move between PPRO and AFX during a job and what I have found is that the Project settings switch from “MATROX DV” to “Standard DV” when I return to PPRO. This is extremely bizarre since the settings can only be changed when creating a new project. My workaround for this is to import this project into a new one with the correct settings and it starts to work.

I do have the lastest Matrox drivers, SP2 and PPRO 1.5 on CD but I am in the middle of a 1.5hr job with about 3 weeks worth of work and I am nervious to upgrade during a job but I am almost desperate.

Would this help? any one encountered these problems as well?

    Regards
    Grant

You’d be okay to upgrade to 1.5 and the new drivers. Switching PPro versions and and matrox tools hasn’t had any effect on any projects I’ve worked on.

As for what’s causing this, you’d probably need to reinstall the matrox drivers either way. This sounds unusual to the x100, and I’ve never seen this happen before.

What changes when you reimport from AE to PPRO? Is it the project settings? or is it the AVI itself? If it’s the project, try using “Save a Copy” before you go to AE and use the copy if the original does this to you.

If it’s the AVI, check your export settings in AE.
