    Help needed with export settings

    Hello everybody,

    I am currently working on an hour-length movie with my friends. We want to copy a lot of dvd’s so it is important the final quality is high enough (also for viewing on a big screen). The problem is that Premiere has many options to export the movie. How do I chose the best one?

    The videos are shot with a handy-cam in 16:9 resolution. It is not HD, although it’s pretty good quality. What is the best way to maintain the quality and resolution and get it on DVD?

    Resolution itself is always going to be the same, but the compression settings will depend on how long the video is. If it’s under an hour, simply change the settings to 7.5 Mb/s CBR.

    For longer DVDs, use a bit rate calculator.

    Thanks for that. How can I set these bitrate settings in Premiere? And does it mather which kind of file it becomes? (avi, mpeg, etc)
