    Hello,

I have 3 mpeg files in Encore that take up .5 GB more space then what a blank dvd can hold. Any suggestions on the settings i can use to make one of the files smaller so i can fit it all on one dvd? I have used Sorenson Squeeze 4.0 the NTSC_Large format.

I also have TMPEnc and CCE. I’m just not sure of the settings to make my file a little smaller but still obtain decent quality

    Thanks
    Jana

Use this to calculate bitrate averages for your project size:
    https://www.videohelp.com/calc.htm
I usually set my target for the amount of video I am encoding to 4000MB, because I usually have about 200-300MB of menus and extras. Also, if you don’t want to re-encode all of your video, you could try an app like DVD2One after building the disc to make the build smaller. There will be some recompression, but it will be MUCH faster than completely re-encoding from the sources.

I believe Encore will let you import .AVI or .MOV files, and when you go to build the disc, will pick the data rate so that everything will fit. Very slick.
