  Help – need new DVD recorder, current one blocks recording as copyright

  We replaced an old DVD recorder with a Sony RDR-GX355. Now I can’t record off the timeline to a DVD. The recorder flags it as being copyrighted material (it isn’t) and will not allow me to record. The process we use is firewire out to a DSR-11, then the RCAs out to the DVD recorder. Tried using different cameras to loop thru with same result. This recorder has a firewire input and HDMI output so I don’t know if that is the reason or not. Before we get another recorder, I’m looking for models (preferably with a firewire input) that others use that will work.
