Help! Need Avid DV codec
Hey All,
I have seen snippets of this same problem before. Basically, I exported a Quicktime movie with Avid and didn’t realize it was done with the AVdv or Avid DV codec. I use FCP, and now, without this, I can’t get to my movies. Just a white screen with some of the audio. Does anyone have this codec that could email it to me? Pllleeeasse? I am in the middle of some work, and Avid does not have the Avid Free DV download anymore, nor can you download this anymore on the web. It seems to be obsolete. Any help would be much appreciated. Hi! I too am experiencing a problem. I edited my film in avid and then I exported it as a quicktime movie. I then dragged the quicktime movie onto a data dvd. Then i went home and put the dvd in my computer (mac book pro) but the quicktime file will only play the audio. According to quicktime inspector the format is: Avid DV Codec, 720 x 486, Millions
16-bit Integer (Big Endian), Stereo, 48.000 kHzI tried using the links above to get this “avid dv codec” but neither of them are working. Does anyone know of anything else i can try? Thanks!
