It’s a Kona LH. Mac G5 dual. Brand new. 4GB RAM. Latest tiger. latest FCP.
I was having problems with my video output. Certain graphics and titles created in my text tool would
manifest artifact. A sentence I put ont the screen was white, However the period at the end was pink. I tried and tried to fix it but no matter what I do. It’s still pink. Other imported graphics had similar problems.
Naturally, I decided to see if there were any software updates from Kona. I found 1.1.6 and installed
it. Now my video ouput is gone. Not really good considering I need to master my project this afternoon.
ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

There are some issues with FCP and artifacts in 10bit. Is that what your project is setup in?? There are a few discussions about that in this forum. Hopefully that should give you the answers that you need. Good luck!!

I have switched to 8 bit and that seems to have solved my artifact problem. Does this mean that I am sacrificing video quality?
I still have no video output though. If I do Show Current, it outputs the current frame no problem but still will not play video.
