This is a known issue that they are working on. The workaround at the moment is to capture in 10bit as it is the 8bit codec that crashes AE7.

Is this just an issue with multibridge or all of the decklink cards? Anyone know?

    Hi Shane,

It has got to do with how After Effects read 8 bit YUV files or something like that. Basically a software issue and not hardware related.

    hi all
good question shane… I was at that adobe production suite tour… and had a chance to speak with the adobe afterefx presenter. He was completly in denial about the issue. Then he kept pointing the finger at black magic.. to which I said files work fine in premiere and adobe bridge, and older versions of afterefx so they’er valad files… adobe software see’s them.. so why cant after efx7.. to which he gave me a name at black magic to contact regarding a fix date.. I have a funny feeling Adobe is going to take there time in fixing this issue.. I think in the short term, all we can hope is Adobe gets enough complaints…
    regards
