    Hi All,

    Thanks in advance.

My question is due to a last minute change by the client. I need to make an edit, cut out about 40 seconds of footage but I already have chapter markers set (in FCP).

Is there any way to move the ALL the chapter markers after the edit over the length of the edit? There are a bunch of them as this this is a instructional DVD and this would save me having to move the one at a time.

    Thanks again
    Jim

Sounds like a feature request. No, there’s no way I know of that will do this.

Short answer: no, you can’t move more than one marker at a time.

However, you can simply plug a time code number, or even + or – a specific number of seconds & frames into a marker’s timecode field to move it. If you know that you’re removing 39;20, for example, all you have to do is hit shift+down arrow, then hit m, then tab down to the timecode field & type in -39;20 (or 39.20, or just 3920), and hit enter. Rinse, repeat till done.
