  Help! Lost Timecode During Capture

  Help! I’m capturing video from a Canon XL2 for the first time, and after capturing 5 scenes it is now saying “Lost Timecode During Capture” and “Unknown Recording Error” in Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5. We did not take the tape out during taping, and the timecode on the preview looks fine (it never resets to zero).

  Has anybody else had this problem, and is it just a setting? How do you get around this?

  BTW, I don’t see the XL2 supported in PP1.5 but the tutorials all say to put it to Standard or XL1S. Is this what we do? Thanks!
