I can’t hear any audio associated with FCP. Everything else on my computer works fine. What happened and how do I fix it. I am a news reporter trying to make deadline and there couldn’t be a worse possible time for this to happen.

    Please HELP

    Thanks

Sometimes I can’t hear audio if I don’t render the clip (sequence>render). That usually works for me. Or perhaps the audio isn’t a format supported by FCP?

    This is very common…..

View Menu: External Video > All Frames.
Connect the speakers to the DV Deck or DV Camcorder and not the Mac.

you can also switch your easy setup so that it ignores the dv deck but remains in the dv codec. For me its blackmagic dv, it all depends on your card
