Apply Time Remapping to the footage layer. A Start and End keyframe will be created for you. Move to the frame you want to freeze on and add a time remapping keyframe. Change it to a Hold keyframe. If the original End keyframe occurs in the visible timeline you will need to delete it.

I thank you! Owe you big time!

  • Or render the last frame (the one you want to freeze) by using “Save Image” and bring it back in as a still.

well you could use time remaping and set a keyframe on the frame you want to freeze then hit control+ right arrow. to go over one frame then set another ket frame and drag it out to as far as you want the duration of the frame to be.
