Does anyone know how to resolve the “general error” freeze up? I edited part of a project earlier this week and all seemed fine. Came back to it today and whenever I try to make a change on the timeline, then a save, I get the spinning rainbow wheel of death and either nothing else – or the wheel, a blank white window or the wheel and a window that says “General Error.” I have a client coming at 9:30 tomorrow morning and need to be able to use this software.

    Desperate!

Trash your preferences. If that doesn’t work, delete all of your render files and try again.

Got it – thank you. OS10 is so stable I no longer think of things like trashing prefs and a restart.
