Final Cut Pro 5 on G5, outdated, I know, but I have done everything and I still cannot get FCP to open. It seems to load until it gets to the audio filters, then crashes. I have used Cleanapp, reinstalled a couple of times and still nothing. Can anyone help me? I downloaded Leopard and Tiger, reinstalled QuickTime MPEG2, but ever since I installed QuickTime updates I have had problems.

    Help

Did you uninstall properly – using FCS Remover?

    Gary,

I told you before that FCP ver. 5 was most likely not compatible with the latest version of Quicktime, i.e. version 7. So, what’s different on your end regarding that issue?

That doesn’t solve my problem. I reinstalled the orginal OS X operating system V 10 4 and that has brought FCP back. Thanks for the info.
