  • Help!! Exporting hddv video

Posted by Andrea Cuda on May 6, 2008 at 2:59 pm

I have transfered and edited, an hddv video using premire pro cs3, but it seems like I can’t get a decent looking export. I’ve tried exporting it to encore and exporting to movie. I am using a mac. Can anyone tell me what is the best way to get the best resolution, or quality video to dvd using ppcs3.

    Thank you

Adhere to DVD standards. 720×576 or 720×480.

I’ve done that, but when the dvd is made either in encore or idvd the video looks blurry, and when people moves the blur becomes more evident

What settings were you using for encoding, what duration, did you try on a stand alone DVD and TV?

yes i’ve tried it on a stand alone t.v.

The setting I use when exporting to encore is high quality ntcs widescreen 29.36fps or something, and when i export to movie, i just put everythign to best quality.

the duration of the video is 1hr and 27min, it about 4gb. What else do u need, or did u mean something else by duration?

Given the duration and the file size you must have been using adequate or good encoding settings. You haven’t tried to de-interlace I hope? Could it be the drawback of long GOP with panning?

I have it on de-interlace should i click that off. The reason why i clicked on de-interlace was becuz before i was getting lines when people moved, so i was told to use de-interace to get rid of it.

You got rid of interlacing artifacts on your computer monitor, but at the same time lost 50% of your vertical resolution. Don’t de-interlace material you want to use on a TV.

the thing is that the lines came up on my t.v . Now my t.v is probably t3n years old is that why?
