Help!! Exporting hddv video
Posted by Andrea Cuda on May 6, 2008 at 2:59 pmI have transfered and edited, an hddv video using premire pro cs3, but it seems like I can’t get a decent looking export. I’ve tried exporting it to encore and exporting to movie. I am using a mac. Can anyone tell me what is the best way to get the best resolution, or quality video to dvd using ppcs3.
Thank you

May 6, 2008 at 5:14 pmWhat settings were you using for encoding, what duration, did you try on a stand alone DVD and TV?

May 6, 2008 at 5:25 pmyes i’ve tried it on a stand alone t.v.
The setting I use when exporting to encore is high quality ntcs widescreen 29.36fps or something, and when i export to movie, i just put everythign to best quality.

May 6, 2008 at 7:11 pmthe duration of the video is 1hr and 27min, it about 4gb. What else do u need, or did u mean something else by duration?

May 6, 2008 at 7:16 pmGiven the duration and the file size you must have been using adequate or good encoding settings. You haven’t tried to de-interlace I hope? Could it be the drawback of long GOP with panning?

May 6, 2008 at 7:42 pmI have it on de-interlace should i click that off. The reason why i clicked on de-interlace was becuz before i was getting lines when people moved, so i was told to use de-interace to get rid of it.

May 6, 2008 at 9:43 pmYou got rid of interlacing artifacts on your computer monitor, but at the same time lost 50% of your vertical resolution. Don’t de-interlace material you want to use on a TV.
