Help! Export as avi
I am new to After Effects and am having problems exporting my file as an avi file. Am I correct in thinking that I can not ‘render’ the file as an avi. I can only render as a .mov – right?
Yesterday I went to file, export, avi – my file turned out fine. Today when I did that it wound up being a tiny file – as in on screen size. Instead of looking like the size I made it (720×480) it winds up being 240×160. Any ideas? I don’t have any After Effects friends, so when I’m stuck I’m stuck! Any thoughts on this would be really appreciated!

If your video ended up to small, you chose a CoDec that does not support larger res or only rendered at quarter resolution or something. Anyway, I strongly advise you to consult your manual on render settings, output modules and how to use the render queue or check the sticky AE basics thread or creativeCalf. Everything you need is explained there.
