I’m getting this error message: RAM Preview needs 2 or more frames to playback. I’ve dug around here and other places. So I’ve purged all, cleaned out the cache , made sure the workspace was set, made sure I in fact had more then 2 frames. All that and I can get rid of this regardless of what I try.

Anyone have some experience or ideas how to fix ?

    TIA
    Stuart

in the time controls panel, if the ‘from current time’ setting is checked, make sure the play cursor in the timeline is not on the last frame of the comp or you will always get this message.

if you uncheck that option, the preview will always start at the beginning of the work area… it will also stop at the end of the work area (for some reason the ‘from current time’ option always continues past the end of the work area).

I was just about to reply that I had a found the problem. I had to go into prefs / memory and cache and make some changes there. Now honestly, I have no idea as to the reason since nothing really changed on my disks. Just glad to be productive again.
