  • HELP!!! encoding HDV 720p 25fps footage

Posted by Dave Sullivan on October 6, 2007 at 4:06 pm

    Hello all,

Here we go again!!! I’ve just shot 120 mins of live footage. The editing, (What there was of it!!) is now complete, and I need to output 2 files…..

1: Small file to upload to .ftp, (for preview) but good quality.

2: Full res for DVD encoding, etc, but must be playable in Quicktime.

I’m having major problems with both of the above. I need to find out the best format to use when creating a top quality, but small size file to upload to an .ftp site.
I also want to create a high res. file that retains the full HDV quality, but is small enouth to fit on a DVD, and is playable in Quicktime……I’ve only got until Sunday evening to complete this job, and frankly I’m at my wits end!!
I know there are plenty of people on Creative Cow that are working in HDV now, so I’ve confident someone on here will be able to help.

    Regards & best wishes

    Dave

    Use Compressor

Use a Small WEb preset under Quicktime6 or 7 category

    Use DVD preset for DVD
