  • Help! DVCPRO Frame Converter does not show up in TOOLS

Anyone have any thoughts as to why when I install the DVCPRO Frame Rate conversion tool it does not show up in my tools menu?

Running FCP 5.1.1 universal on a power book Intel dual core 2G, 2 gigs ram.

I have checked and can see the plug in bundle in the plugins folder inside of application support, inside the library.

Apple is no help, Panasonic is no help, I am baffled, anyone have some insight??

    David.
did you use the version that came on the 5.1 install disk in the “extras” folder– that is the only one that works on the intel machines– NOTE TOO: that it is in the lower half of the tools menu in 5.1 and later.

Thank you… thats what the problem was… I had originally used the version from the panasonic website, but I re installed using the one from the FCP 5.1 instal disc, and it now works perfect.
