help creating turbulent edge text in apple motion
I’ve searched everywhere for a tutorial on what is a common text effect in movie trailers: when the edges of a word or image seem to displace in a mirage effect resembling smoke or water (i.e Fugitive Pieces trailer). Hoping somebody can tell me if this is a plugin, displacement map effect, et al. just to get me going in the right direction.
