Help creating a *good* tv channel change transition
Has anyone come up with a good way to transition between clips so that it looks like the tv channel was just changed? So far all I’ve done is when the transition is supposed to happen, I throw in few frames of static and then have the next “channel” clip start out positioned about 40% too low, then quickly translate up to it’s correct location. This works fairly well, but it still kinda looks artificial. If anybody has had success with making a more realistic looking tv channel change transition, has ideas on how to better my method, or knows of another tutorial that covers this subject, would you let me know? Thanks.
