Help: Corrupt QuickTime!
Hi All,
I recently shot a short on a JVC GY-HD101E and captured the footage into Final Cut Pro using Apple ProRes 422.
Now the camera has gone back and I’ve discovered one of my QuickTime clips is corrupt!
The file size is 1.86GB and when you double click the file, QuickTime launches and shows a white screen with no play head.
When you try and drag it into Final Cut, it throws up an error, “File Error: Unknown File”.
Any tips on how I may restore a corrupt QuickTime??

unfortunately recapture is the only way 🙁

Did you try opening the file in another video app? Perhaps MPEG-Streamclip will accept it and then export it from there. Just a thought.
