November 3, 2009 at 12:09 amDid you mean component video out?
You need a DV converter to convert analogue to digital or a dedicated video capture card.

November 3, 2009 at 8:31 pmBest way is find a Digital8 camcorder, these play old Video 8 out by DV Firewire very nicely.

November 3, 2009 at 9:16 pmOK, this is not an endorsement of this company or this product, but since the hardware does come with Adobe software, you’re probably going to be able to do captures with this:
Your “yellow” cable is a coax video cable terminating in an RCA plug. Your “White” cable is a mono audio twisted pair cable (though it can be coax).
What if there were no hypothetical questions?

November 12, 2009 at 10:27 pmWe have done about 25 8mm films (no Sound). Don’t make it complicated. Project against a white wall at about 10″ x 8″ size image and just copy off the wall or screen using your digital camcorder, the quality will not be great anyhow but, it is ok for U -Yube
